Emily Kraemer is a non-vegetarian singer songwriter from London. She plays with a string quartet and drums, her father and sister arranging all of the quartet parts and often there are at least four Kraemers on stage at any one time.
Emily has been performing for over ten years and has released three critically acclaimed albums. her latest Cat Fish Bird receiving “Pick of the Week” in the Camden New Journal.
Towards the end of 2011, Emily was commissioned to write various pieces for the BBC television series “Britain’s Hidden Heritage”. Emily was personally invited to The House of Lords prior to the 2010 general election, as one of Britain’s most “up and coming” musicians. Her sound is simple, yet hypnotic, using overlaying vocal harmonies and delicious melodies. This summer Emily will be performing in various music festivals in the UK including the Purbeck Folk Festival in Dorset and Folk on the Lawn in Tintern, Wales. In August she will be recording her fourth album in St. Saviours church in Chalk Farm
