Formed in 2012, the daymons grew from a renewed partnership between Chester based singer-songwriters Guy Bengree and Tim Chapman. Tim and Guy were quickly joined by Richard Bratt, another singing, song writing guitarist, and trumpet player “Magic” Jim Donaldson.
Initially working as a four piece acoustic act whilst writing a fresh batch of songs, the band expanded into the finished line up in the summer with the addition of Fran Martinez on bass guitar and Rich Goss on drums.
High-quality song writing, coupled with a unique blend of voices and a mix of acoustic, electric guitars and trumpet have built the band a strong reputation locally following appearances at Chester’s Northgate Festival and Music Earth Rise events.
Described by audiences as a fusion of Indie/Folk/Rock or “Rolkie” (sorry about that) the band continue to write as a six piece, with a pop sensibility and no fear of a big, catchy chorus.
An EP is on its way in 2013.
